My mom and I were looking for a church with real community, and we found it at Amistad: a church that welcomed us and knew us up close. In these eleven years I've watched the church and my family grow — my kids seeking the Lord and His Word. We've seen how the Lord is glorified here.

They are eleven years of lives rescued, restored, full of purpose and of passion for God's heart for this city, for this nation, for the whole world. Let's give Him glory for what He has done, for what He is doing, and even for what He has yet to do. And for honoring us, within His great plan, by letting us be part of it.

Lives rescued, lives restored.
Eleven years of stories and lives restored by God.
God brought us during the pandemic, with the drive-in services: when no church could gather, here each family sat in their car, and our kids got their class worksheet through the window. We've been part of churches in several cities, but at Amistad we lived a before-and-after in our walk with Christ.
We arrived in the pandemic and found a family in Christ. The Word we've received led us to decisions that changed our lives and our children's. Intensivo called us to be intentional and to stop being Sunday-only Christians.
Someone invited my mom, she encouraged us to come, and we haven't missed a Sunday since. We had prayed so much for our family to be restored, and we saw it. With the embrace of leaders and pastors, the Lord didn't just restore our home: He prepared us for more. It's about Him, and He is the goal.
The year before, I felt there was more — I was stuck and wanted to unlock everything. I arrived in January and here I found that “more” I was looking for in the Lord: a place to grow, with leaders, friends and the pastor's teaching that woke up a hunger in me to seek more. I haven't missed since that January.
