01Who is responsible for your data

Comisión Misionera Internacional, which operates Iglesia Amistad de Saltillo (Amistad SLW), located at Román Cepeda 139, Rancho de Peña, 25210, Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data.

For any privacy matter, write to admin@somosamistad.org.

02What data we collect

We only ask for the data we need, depending on what you choose to do on the site:

  • Sign-ups for groups, events and ministries: name, phone, email, age, occupation, neighborhood or address, marital status and wedding date, your children's ages, availability and any other answers each form asks for.
  • Book reviews: the name you want to appear with and your comment.
  • Event attendance confirmations such as Travesía: only how many children will attend; we don't ask for a name or phone.
  • Browsing: technical data such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location (city or state, based on your connection), clicks and recordings of how the page is used. In recordings, anything you type in text fields is hidden.

03Sensitive data

Some forms ask about your faith, your church life or whether you have a prayer request. The law considers religious beliefs sensitive personal data.

We only ask for it when it helps us care for you better, we handle it with strict confidentiality and only the people who will follow up with you can see it. You can leave non-required questions blank. By submitting a form that includes it, you give us your express consent to process it for the purposes in this notice.

04What we use your data for

Purposes needed for what you ask us:

  • Contacting you to join the group, event or ministry you signed up for.
  • Organizing and following up on church events and activities.
  • Publishing on the site the reviews you send us, after reviewing them.
  • Answering your questions and requests.

05Additional purposes

We use browsing statistics to understand how the site is used and improve it (for example, which pages are visited most or whether a section is hard to use). We don't use them to identify you or to send you advertising.

If you don't want your data used for these additional purposes, write to admin@somosamistad.org; this doesn't affect your sign-ups.

06Who we share your data with

We don't sell or rent your data. We only share it with:

  • Church leaders and volunteers responsible for the group, event or ministry you signed up for, so they can contact you.
  • Service providers that process data only on our behalf: hosting for the site and the sign-up system; PostHog (United States), for browsing statistics; Google, to show videos (YouTube); and Adobe Fonts, for the site's typefaces.

07Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies and the browser's local storage to remember things like your language or whether you already confirmed attendance, and for browsing statistics with PostHog.

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings; the site will keep working.

08Your rights (ARCO) and how to exercise them

You have the right to know what data we hold about you (Access), ask for it to be corrected (Rectification), deleted (Cancellation) or to object to its use (Opposition). You can also revoke your consent or limit the use of your data.

To do so, write to admin@somosamistad.org with your name, a way to reply to you, a clear description of your request and a document proving your identity. We will reply within the time limits set by law.

09How long we keep your data
